I love the detail that I can get in elm but hate working with it. Being such a hard wood, it takes a more time and a lot of patience. Had to break this one up over three days to finish it.

Just had some free time over the last few weekends. Have a family reunion next weekend and some of the cousins from out of state have requested also, a few of my friends have asked for them too. Building up stock in case. Another friend requested one og the green men wall plaques that I haven't gotten around too yet. Amazed at how many people want one, once they found out I was carving..

Mainly though, I just enjoy carving. Usually try to find time on the weekends to carve at least one.
