absolutely beautiful

What a gorgeous piece of work!! I have a little experience in ebonizing..used vinegar and oak bark. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't go that route..dye, spray cans of paint etc.

Ebonizing…. White vinegar and iron (steel wool, old rusty nails) throw it together and let it sit in a container for a couple days then brush it on black walnut or any other wood with a high tannic acid content and it turns the wood black...

Very beautiful piece. Does this process allow you to see the wood grain?

Your work is truly exceptional. One of these days I'll learn your ebonizing method. For now I'll stick with my cheater method... LOL
