Plywood can be nice:thumbsup: I built my first home myself and to save money the kitchen was birch plywood boxes with birch plywood doors and drawers fronts. I used 3/4"strips of cherry for the around edges put if two doors closed togeather 3/8" on the meeting edges. It turned out great and did not take long at all. I have used iron on edging too and it works great but the real wood adds alot:yes:
Don't know if this will help, but heres my 2 cents worth. I made our entertainment center with two doors on the bottom for wood and coal storage. I just used the same wood I made the center with, measured and hinged it on with piano hinges, a wooden knob and it works wonderfully.
Hope this helps. Maybe yes maybe no, but gave it a shot anyways.
