Ok.... There's no comparison. The porter cable jigs is leaps and bounds better. The extra 80 bucks was well worth it.

where did you get that PC jig for ~ $100 (HF=$20 + $80 differential)?

Ok, I got one good joint as pictured above.....and now every one is getting worse. I've reset everything.....and attempted 20 more joints.....can't get one to work. I think this jig is going back......and maybe i'll just pick up the porter cable.......it kinda annoys me that the templates are 50-60 bucks a shot for the other templates.....
I got the same results with the PC 4212 as you did with the HF. I sold it and bought the Rockler on sale and I am totally happy with it. Good repeatable results and the extra templates don't break the bank. Some love the 4212 but I did not.

After 10 or 12 finished joints now, the pc unit is producing very good repeatable results. Maybe it was just me as others have reported good results with the hf unit, but I'd say its been worth the difference. Someday I'd love to have their unijig system.....someday
