As to information, it is pretty basic. First decision, what type of construction. Mortise and tennon or stile and rail. Personally, I hold with teh stile and rail. Have been doing so for years for both interior and exterior. Purists will only consider mortise and tennon as the traditional format. Rail and stile joints will require a matched tooling set best run on a shaper but the joints are pretty foolproof with lots of glue surface.
