I just spent a couple of hours cleaning a mess of Evapo-Rust Rust Remover and sliced open my finger on top of it all.

I decided to clean up a new No 6 plane and cut the top off an empty water bottle to fill with Evapo-Rust. Just as I was putting in the iron it sliced the plastic bottle right in half spilling the solution all over my work bench and my shop floor. Plus in my panic to catch the spill I grabbed the blade slicing open my finger.

Someone must have sharpened the blade and just left all the rust in place because i didn't notice it with all the dirt and rust.

Number one rule: never attempt to catch a falling blade. Of any kind. Ever.
Oh ain't that the truth, but I didn't even think of it as a blade at that instant.
I'm now worried about that solution going into my wound. I washed it pretty good, but I can still smell the stuff on my hands.
