Hey guys and gals,
I want to build a dining room table (and maybe chairs) in a mission style and want the table to be very expandable to accept at least four feet of leaves. (Or should that be leafs?) all,I have been able to find are plans using fixed base with use of the commercial expanding top hardware, and those are a little too limiting. At the local furniture store i looked at some Amish made tables that had double pedestal legs and the pedestals them selves had to slide to open the table for adding a leaf but they had a LOT of expansion capacity. Does anyone know how those are constructed or have a source for plans?
