Just an observation to pass on:thumbsup:
I have been experimenting with my planner lately, and something always bothers me. Every time I plane wood the board always seem to get stuck or it has a tendency to plane off to the left. I have been experimenting: first I cleaned the rollers with DNA and polished the bed and I still experienced the problem, and yes I have sharp blades. One thing I over looked was the "material removal gauge on the left side. A while ago I checked the floor model in HD and it takes a lot of pressure to activate this gauge and I never use it anyway, so I removed it and, guess what no more problems. I just planed 55 bf 4/4 of red oak 9" wide and 25 bf of 5/4 X 11 1/2" wide red oak. The only issue I had was with one board 5/4 that had a knot and it caused the board to stall. I might add that the 5/4 is a lot heaver than the 4/4 and it takes more effort for the rollers to move the board.
Try it and see if you get the same results.
