I have a Delta model 10 table saw (also a Delta Unisaw). The model 10 blade won't lower all the way below the table. It lacks a 32nd or so. If it were turned on with something laying on the blade it could be a problem especially if it were a hand. I always keep my blades lowered all the way when not in use for safety. Does anyone know a fix for this problem? Thanks
All saws I have seen have stops that control height and tilt. Sounds like you need to look and see if the bottoming stop need adjustment. Or there may be saw dust caked inside and just needs cleaning.
Use a tooth brush to clean the elevation threads. (Do the bevel while you're at it.) Then use the tooth brush to apply white lithium grease. This should solve the problem.
If it doesn't, look for the stop bolt. It probably needs a 1/2 turn.
Thanks for the help. I have not taken time to clean the saw. I have heard or read somewhere that there is a design problem with this model that prevents lowering the blade all the way. Thanks
