I've owned both the 36-600 and a couple of older Emerson made full size Craftsman contractor saws. That refurbed CMan is really nice....they did a beautiful job, and I dount it'll last long at $100. The basic guts of the saw are pretty much identical to the newer Ridgid saws. With the CI wings, Unifence, Herculift, that saws is worth $200-$400 IMHO....it's could only be a 1hp motor though, but will do the trick. The 36-600 is a bit smaller (22"d x 38" vs 27"D x 40"w), has steel wings, no mobile base, a more modest fence, and a universal motor. It's a nice gesture to offer the Delta, and it'll work fine, but I don't think there's much comparison if that CMan is still available....put a good blade on that and he'd really have a nice contractor saw.
