I own that exact saw. I installed the PALS alignment system and it worked great. Just got a new fence for it, a delta t2 fence. My old fence was okay for the first couple years but then got loose so I upgraded it. Overall it is a great saw for a weekend warrior, like me..lol.
I have run all kinds of wood thru it, including 2x4's with no issue at all. I did replace the blade on it with a Freud combo blade...cuts as smooth as butter. I have run Hickory, walnut, oak, cedar, pine, maple, plywood, etc with no problem.
For the price I don't think you will be disappointed with it. Overall it is a great saw!
