Or some free Sycamore so made a couple bowls bigger one is 4x13 smaller one is 3 1/2x12 with some great grain! Walnut oil finish

That one in the top two pix is very attractive -- the way it almost divides into 2, with straight grain in one half and that funky figure in the other. Nice!

Very nice, I like how you captured the wavy grain on the first one. I've worked with sycamore a little but I have a very limited supply here.

We'll I put out all my bowls that I had about a dozen for in laws to pick from. First two gone were these Sycamores.

Agree-- nice bowls, they should enjoy those. Sycamore is one the few native trees I haven't tried yet-- not too common 'round me but have my eye on some. Really like the patterns.
