I came across this ad on my local craigslist yesterday.

http://charleston.craigslist.org/tls/4096409806.html

It appears to be listed by a pawn shop or second hand store of some kind. I'm wondering if they just don't know what they have, or if there could be something wrong with it... or if this isn't as good of a deal as I think it is.

This is the scroll saw I've had my eye on for a while now, but didn't have the money to purchase one brand new. I never seem to see these being sold used, and was hoping to get some advice on what to check if I go take a look at it. From what I can see in the pictures, it appears to be a relatively newer model with the surface rust on the table being the only thing wrong (which I know will clean up easily with some WD and scotch brite pads)

Anyone got any advice for me?

Thanks in advance,

Sean

I seem to recall there was a problem with the blade touching the table on one side a few years ago due to manufacturing defect, check if the blade is centred, otherwise it looks like a steal. If it looks and runs good maybe whine a bit about the rust on the table and get bit more off the price.
