Hey guys! Just refinished a pine coffee table with lots of carving in it.
I used 2 coats of a dark oil based paint, mixed 50/50 with thinner so I can get a stained rustic look. Now time for the topcoats but not sure what I should do. I want a hand-rubbed satin-semi gloss finish but I don't want to use poly and I'm not crazy about waxing in case I want to change something down the road. Is tung-oil the way to go ? I want to be able to apply multiple coats to build up sheen and protection.
What do you guys suggest with something that's easy to find ?
