Just recieved a rikon 3 speed air cleaner for my birthday. The manual says the outer filter is supposed to be replaced and the inner filter can be emptied/cleaned but doesn't explain how to do that. It doesn't seem like it comes out of the metal frame its in but not sure. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I have the Jet AFS-1000B which may be very similar.

I looked at the manual and the manual for a Rikon 62-100.

Both say the outer filter is removed then the inner filter can be "pulled out of the unit". Same wording in both manual.

I presume you have to get hold of the frame on the inner filter and pull. May be tight fit.

It should be some time before the inner filter needs to be cleaned.

Thanks... it was a gift and im making sure Im not going to be stuck buying expensive product specific filters on a regular basis.
