spread out all the pieces on a piece of tape, sticky side up and fold them together. The tape will be under tension as you make the square or rectangle holding the pieces in place. The tape needs to be strong enough to withstand the tension. Green painters tape works for me.

There are miter clamps used for picture frame width pieces, also called corner clamps:

I have used these many times for years, but they are troublesome to get all the pieces in and clamped up tightly... best to do 2 pieces at a time in my experience.
