I'm a beginner and I have 2 chucks. One is a Stronghold by Oneway. I've used it and like it. The other is a Nova Chuck 50mm. The Nova is New in the Box.

Is there any reason why I would ever need both of these? I'm thinking of selling the Nova to put towards some other tools.

Which chuck is better?

Also, I have a Craftsman 6.5" 4 jaw chuck. Is that worth keeping either if I have these nicer chucks?

Thanks,,

I belong to the you can't have enough chucks club. I put different jaws on them. It is so much faster to just change chucks than it is to change jaws. Yea I know it's expensive and remember agonizing over buying my first chuck. Now I have 4 and I'm thinking about 1 more. It was good money spent, especially if your time is important.

Thanks John,

Is it a pain to have two different kinds like this? I'll keep both but wonder if the fact that they operate differently will confuse things.
