Posted an album with more pictures but then realized you can't respond to it. So I'll repeat my description and pictures here for comments.

This stocking or ornament Totem was cut from 1 sheet of 3/4" Plywood. 12 sides and measures 76" tall x 21"dia base and 10 1/2" dia top. Staves are 5 1/2" x 2 3/4" tapers.

The Totem is in 3 nestable sections. There are 1/4 x 20 threaded inserts applied in a spiral pattern fro top to bottom. Each insert recieves a 1/2" dowel that has it's end turned to resemble an ornament.

It all sets on two plywood disc that sandwitch a lazy susan plate.

Our family has just over 40 at Christmas and this Totem holds all thier stockins and there's room for a few more.

We usually top this with a lightable star whose cord runs down the middle and under the base. Our plan is when we are not hosting Christmas this will display just some of my wife's vast collection of ornaments, she has asked for another.
