hey all,

i have 2 nichos that i want to put a wood sill on.

i want to have a cherry stain to match the floors.

to cut cost what species of wood would look like real cherry after staining?

or should i not be a cheap a** and just use cherry to start with?

Welcome, and use Cherry.

Yes, use cherry.
If you have to use something else that's economical
use poplar, but you'll need some that is "all white",
(none of the green or mineral streaks)

hi
friend of mine has "wild cherry" floors - matched the skirting and architraves using maple stain (on pine)
grain doesn't match - but the colour does
