I am trying to figure out how many drawers, size for an area in an entertainment center. I am having difficulties in trying to plan everything out so I make the most of the space and get the drawers built to the right size. If anyone can help me out with this that would be great. Thanks

It realld depends on what you want stored in them. Typically the suspensions are around 1/2" thick, so that's going to take 1" per drawer......... What are you making the drawer boxes from??

I'd figure a front of 6 1/2 to 7" tall........ The width can be whatever you need it to be.

Don't forget to take any dividers and what not into account.

Generally what I do unless otherwise spec'd; I dont like a drawer less than 6" deep so; 6" plus your bottom thickness, plus distance from bottom of side to bottom = X, add 1" clearance to that for removing and re installing drawer, total space divided by that number gives you X drawers. Using normal side mount slides you make drawers 1" narrower than opening.
