I have just made a 12" wooden Bow Saw and the blade I bought is 3/4" wide and needs too much tension on the twine to achieve a nice taught blade. I have searched the web for a narrower blade, around 3/8" but cannot find one as most blades on offer seem to be very wide aggressive blades for tree work, typically used in metal frames. Does any member know where I can get hold of a 12" x appx. 1/2" 10/12 TPI Bow Saw blade?

grammercy tools (Tools For Working Wood) sells bowsaw blades in 12" length.

I made a bow saw and use the Grammercy blades. They work very well and those folks have good customer service.
