+1. :yes: Bondo pares well with sharp chisels, and sands uniformly. Turning would be no problem. If anything, it's softer than the hardwoods being turned.
Ditto on the above. It's also easier to color epoxy for a better look. Bondo can only be colored darker than it is. Since Bondo is thick it is easier to fill big gaps. It often has small pinholes so be prepared to do some secondary filling after the first turning. Of course the same is true with epoxy as well.
