Anyone have designs for a Model 1000 dust catcher? On my second machine rehab of one these great machines and would like come up with a good solid collector. Was wondering what others may have come up with.

You might remove the chip breaker for a pattern and have a sheetmetal shop fabricate a dust hood for it.

Steve, you beat me to the response. A good sheet metal shop can do things that are magic. I would leave the machine with them so that they can fit things perfectly.

I was thinking that as well. I was originally thinking some thinner stainless plate welded up would provide the needed stiffness along with a side exit to keep dust tube clear of the wood path. Pretty sure the rear piece is the pressure bar isn’t it? When I come up with something I will post it.
