Hi all, I'm so glad I've come upon this site. I'm a volunteer for our local community woodlands and have very recently started making bespoke fairy cottages out of treestumps for the garden and also decorating chainsaw carved mushrooms to help finance the charity.
The wood glue I've used so far is supposed to be weather proof but when I tried out how effective it was at holding wood together (showering it) the glue returned to a tacky state and weakened the grip.
I'm in the uk and wondered if anyone could advise.
Also, the best way to seal the wood - i'm using an acrylic spray which seems to be working....
