Hi, I have an opportunity to pick up some bay wood. Is this a good wood to use for woodturning?
I don't know if it makes any difference but this bay tree is in Florida and is about 10 inches in diameter.
I assume this is the "bay tree" as in S. Ga and Fl; here in NC usually called a magnolia.
Sorta like fishing for crappie here, if you go to S. Ga they don't have crappie but the speckled perch is mighty fine.
