barnwood species

Hi - I'm trying to identify the species of some barnwood. The barn is in Iowa and was built in the 1840s. Attached are a few pictures that I received from the person taking down the barn. I realize it might be tough to positively identify without a more detailed picture of the sanded wood, but any feedback would be helpful. Was there a typical species used in that area and era for barn siding, flooring, and structural timbers?
