I recently saw these advertised in the new issue of woodworker’s magazine. This technology is not new and patented as advertised. I went to their web site and finally saw the ridiculous prices they are asking for these magnets. I have been using the same technology for years. Several years ago I bought dial caliper from Grizzly Industrial tools to accurately set up jointer knives. The tool came with magnetic base that will hold 130 lbs and can be turned on and off. I immediately saw the potential for jigs and ordered seven more bases from Grizzly. The price from Grizzly has gone up since I bought mine. The current price for the dual sided magnet with a miter groove to attach to round stock is $7.95 part number H3328.
