I have a Craftsman 12" sliding comp miter saw that is about 1/2 deg off when locked into the 0 deg detent. Does anybody know how to adjust this?

The saw is fairly new, used very little and has been well taken care of, so I have no idea how this happened.

That looks pretty handy, but my saw isn't true to the fence, so that may not help in this case. When I swivel the base to zero, the blade is about .5 deg off when compared to the fence, but perfect compared to the base.

I thought I was just seeing things, but it only seems to be off on the left side. I put a straight edge on the fence, and that seems fine, along with putting a square on the right side of the fence up against the blade. But if I put the square on the left side between the fence and the blade, at the tip of the square, the blade is about 1/16 away.
