Any ideas?

Im new to this forum, just found this yesterday, and was wondering why I've never heard of it.
Anyways I do a lot of river logging and swamp logging and pull out some amazing looking logs that contain the beautifulest wood in the world(to me). I had a 15 foot peice of a pecky cypress log left over from a large log and it was curved bad so I sawed it up the way it was with intentions of a neat project. Well I can't come up with anything to do with it. I know a lot of you guys have some good imaginations. What could I do with it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the group! (Secret handshake comes later)
Pretty wood!
With the shape, I think I'd see some really interesting table or shelf legs.

First thing would be to dry it out, either a kiln or air dry. Then let it sit for awhile And stare at it.
It'll come to you when the time is right. Be patient with a great piece like that. You Don't want to butcher it up.

It has air dryed for over a year and I have been staring ever since, can't you see all of the holes I stared through it.

Laughing!!!!
Rule of thumb for air dry is 1" per year.
Good luck. Can't wait to see what you do with it,
Stick in the corner sooner or later the perfect project will come up for it.
Ideas depend on available tools.

Got a lathe? Cut some slabs. Turn some cool bowls.

Got a band saw, planner, jointer, etc.? Rip out some boards and build lots of things from table tops to bedroom furniture and everything in between.

Its kindda difficult to offer suggestions not knowing your capabilities beyond being able to drag logs out of the river.

Yes, I forgot to mention that I do have a woodworking shop, I have all the tools that you mentioned
I just figured with the unique curves and designs that it would make a nice piece for something, or if someone nearby wanted to make something with it let me know, I am in nowhere near low supply of this stuff.
Welcome to the forum. Neat wood ... look forward to seeing more of what you salvage.

I might be interested in a couple as shown. What are you getting / bft?

I don't have an exact number to throw out there on it, how do you sell something like this, do you sell it based on board footage, which is making it the same value as a regular board or do you sell it as an unique peice! To be honest I dont want to get rid of it, but if someone had a plan for it and wants to make a nice piece with it, then I could possibly separate from it. I could defiantly use the space.
Your right....to hard to calculate value....ill just take it off your hands.

Lol.
