I bought two high chairs around the 1940 era $ 6.oo each.THEY are strong joints tight. BUT one chair has groove spindels back and legs.after i apply stripper and start removing it, how do i get all thr gunk from the grooves of the spindels?

I've heard of guys using dental pics. Basically you do whatever it takes to get the job done. A wire coat hanger with the end filed to a point would probably do just as good.

A brass brush works very well in these instances. Not steel it is too ruff. A brass brush is a refinishers godsend. Also some use wood chips to rub away the stripper. It gets in har reach areas. Not as well as the brush.
