Had another order for a kitchen island, this time a more modern one. Built this out of birch plywood and poplar trim. Its quite large. The base measures 3' wide by 7' long and the top will overhang the sides by a foot on each side with bar stools under it for seating. It'll seat 6 easily. Cabinet end is a little over 48" deep and has a pullout drawer in front with another behind it that can be pulled forward so there wasnt a lot of unused space in the middle. The other end is a wine rack and will have a rack for hanging glasses as soon as it gets delivered.

Wow, impressive! I wouldn't have guessed that was paint. Looks just like the same color as my built in kitchen nook that I need to finish.

Looks good, well executed!!! I like the corners standing out, gives it a BOLD look.

Thanks guys. I painted it, did some wet sanding, and then coated it with lacquer. It was a challenge but it was worth it! Clients are extremely happy and that's what matters.
