I have been recruted to build my brouther in law 5-6 shelvs After sanding the amber shalac off 3 times due to runs on the edges I am getting frusterated.:furious: If their are some tips you you know PLEASE feel free to leave them.
What I like to do is cut the 2 pound mix from the can 50/50 with denatured alcohol. Then I just wipe it on with a folded up rag, and wipe off the excess. Once it dries, I'll lightly sand the surface, then add onther coat or two.
I sanded down the runs in one peice and tried to use the 50/50 to do a touchup with little sucess. on one peice that i had not started iit was EASY to do with no runs at all thanks a ton. i have 1 more to sand down and redo. Thanks.
