I asked you guys for some help on this project when I initially got started back in July so I thought I'd give an update. It's been a process of on again off again for a few months so I have no idea how long I've actually spent on it. Thanks for the advice and encouragement along the way.

Looks like it's holding up a thick slab of marble! Are you going to finish it like marble too? (the top section) That would be just plain awesome!!

The customer wants a black top and gold legs. I'm going to use a black lacquer for the top and some gold paint with a distressed finish for the legs. I'll post some pics when I get it all done. Thanks for the compliments.

Have you ever used India Ink to get a good black into the wood?
