great pens. How thick were your laminations?clpead said:I tried laminating and one is walnut/lacewood and the other is sassafras/walnut/spalted maple.
Well glad you got a chance.clpead said:Thanks, I haven't done much this summer.
This looks fabulous -- and that's a great finish you achieved, looks like it's coated with glass :thumbsup:The other one i did that day. Oak burl on a copper European style pen.
Thank you very much. I appreciate the feedback on the other two as well. They have been complimented by ppl in person but I definitely like the burl better too.duncsuss said:This looks fabulous -- and that's a great finish you achieved, looks like it's coated with glass  (Nothing against your first two, but they don't float my boat ...)
Hopefully you can get started soon. Looking forward to seeing what you do. I'm guessing with your affinity to rustic, we'll see some natural edge from you.Dominick said:Well glad you got a chance. I finally picked up a lathe, but haven't had time really to tinker with it. Hopefully when I do, my skills can be as good as yours.
