This a Cleveland Pear. It really plain, but it's a nice bowl. The pepper mill is of Pear, but I don't know what kind. The stopper is Cherry Burl. I was holding my breath is wouldn't chip out. The void is rather deep.

Nice stuff Wes,
I've got both Cleveland and Bradford pears in the yard. None ready to come down though. For the stopper, when you get a void like that and you want to save it, drench it with some CA glue, thin variety. It will soak in and harden up. You're just trying to coat the void, not fill it.

Nice work.. I'm about to harvest a downed old growth wild cherry tree that fell on our upcoming home site.. lots of very rare wood that will become Darkmoor products.. hoping to find burl in it
