Looks like a good score to me.
The saw technically IS new... it's a few years old but it's never been used and neither has the DT jig. That was a great deal. Th saw looks new. When I used my scroll saw, I set it up on a bench top with a kneehole. I found sitting close was more comfortable. As for the DT jig, good to have if you want machined DT's. There is just an esthetic beauty of handcut ones IMO.

I thought so too, but he said it was taking up space in his laundry room (he doesn't have a shop) and he just wanted it gone.Woa, good score. I think I'd feel like I was taking advantage of the guy, though.
You lucky dog! That's a awesome score! Congrats on the new toys! I want to find a friend like that lolChris86 said:Well I was running a little low on cash, but when a good friend of mine offered this Hitachi scroll saw and Porter Cable dovetail jig that he had never even used for 80 bucks I couldn't turn it downDid I do good?
That's a really good idea! I shall do that:thumbsup:You'll have to make him something with his old tools to show your appreciation!
