that'll work, but that martin should be in your hands instead of hanging on the wall

love that comment! (if it was a martin, it would be. got a yamaha and sigma acoustic. epiphone electric with an ibanez bass)

I'm not a big fan of clicking links to see someones project, considering how easy it is to upload photos here on the forum. But for this one, for some reason I clicked your link. Very nice job on the hanger. I would only give one suggestion. You may want to consider some sort of padding where the guitars hand from the headstock. I fear that rubbing on the ply will prematurely wear the finish off of the headstock and neck.
Other than that, great job.

thanks for the comments, you guys. i appreciate the feedback!

Kenbo - I hear you on the link thing. I appreciate you giving me the benefit of the doubt. I put a lot of work into my blog posts so I do like seeing the traffic bar tick every once in a while - keeps the motivation up.
As far as putting something on the top I fully agree. I just don't know what medium to use yet (foam strips, spray rubber, felt, etc.). Do you have any experience with?

JSchaben - Glad it met your approval - I was hoping for that. The caveat on my blog about the forms of joinery was all for you, by the way. Your sphere of influence is growing, friend. :thumbsup:

So I just got an email from the founder of instructables.com that my guitar mount was chosen as a featured editor's choice for the woodwork section of instructables.com. If you happen to be a member on the site, I would really appreciate it if you'd vote for me - I'm in the shopbot and the furniture challenge with this particular build. Quite an honor considering the talent that is on that site!

My username is DIYandSIMPLIFY and it is the 4-guitar wall mount/hanger. Pretty pumped right now. I would put a link to make it easier for you, but considering the hesitation that many have showed towards clicking them, I just won't. I really don't want to be "that guy". Mr. Link, as it were.
