Hello, to save some time while I build my own dining room table, we got a cheap one on FB. When we picked it up, they didn’t have either of the corner braces that connect to the legs under the table. Of course, this is dangerous if someone were to bump the end of the table, there are only bolts...

Hi everyone, A total new beginner here. I just bought a flat and the previous owner has built a nice table between two walls. I would definitely like to keep the table but I am not too sure what to do with the gaps between the planks. Age of the table is roughly 3 years. Weather in my country...

I need some tables made and so far the quotes I’ve gotten have been veryyyyy expensive. I want to try and build it myself butI’m not experienced in building at all. Is this possible to make with minimal experience and tools? I’m willing to get tools to make it but is it more complicated than it...

Hi Everyone, I'm newer to the woodworking world, but not green. I teach entry level woodshop to high school students so I do know how to use woodworking tools safely and make basic projects. I have designed a table I'd like to build, and I know it will really push my skills. I have two areas...

Hi! I have a very old table that I know virtually nothing about but it is starting to splinter along the bottom edges of the top. It wasn’t well cared for for at least a decade and oiling made a huge difference because it was very dry, but it didn’t help the splinters. I’m not sure how it is...

After a bit of advice please if anyone is able to share. I purchased 2 elm burr slabs from a timber merchant yard / onsite furniture makers as I was looking for a burr edge table top. It used to be one long slab but was cut in half at the timber yard before I purchased it unfortunately. I want...

Hi all! First time user and first posting. I have a drop leaf table that I was given. The only issue is the main leg is split. Would it be worth gluing or replacing it? Thoughts and recommendations are always appreciated!

Hi, I’m looking into getting a table saw for my guitar building projects, and don't know exactly what I’m looking for. I’ve been poking around on Craigslist and found a couple that look like good saws. I don’t really have a “limit” on what I can spend, but I’m trying to keep the cost down as...

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had experience with this model of table saw? I have the opportunity to buy one for $800. It comes with a upgraded 5hp motor, the original motor as well, a Pro-rip/Evolution1 mirco-adjustment fence by Voss Technologies, delta tenon jig, cross-cut sled, and miter...

Hi my name is Jake and I'm new to the forums. I have an engineered wood table top in espresso finish that has a deep scratch. The table is for a height-adjustable computer desk (to the extent that it matters). I have attached photos of the scratch here. I would rather try to fix it than return...

Last year I received a Triton Router module for my birthday. To my dismay the Triton Workcentre it fits into is no longer available in the US. I have emailed Triton (UK & USA) no answer, Rockler, Home Depot and a couple of others- no answer. (did get some adds for sale items):sad2: This module...

I'm new to woodworking and looking to build a multipurpose table that will incorporate a bench top table saw into it. I was originally looking at purchasing a Dewalt table saw but I'm afraid their rack and pinion fence system won't work well for incorporating it into a large workshop table. I...

Hello I am currently in the process of designing a workbench. My main feature would be that one side of the workbench has some soldering/electric/cutting mats stuck on it for my most common requirements, and the other side of the top is left perfectly flat wood for when i need it for general...

Built this 9 ft Conference Table for my Sons Church. He's the Lead Minister at "The Well" Church in Edmond, OK. The wood was scraps from a Construction site so it cost me nothing.

Hello, First time posting to this forum. I'm building a farmhouse type kitchen dining table. Top is made of Walnut. Trying to figure out how to finish. My wife loves the colder grey tone of the wood and would like to keep that as much as possible. She doesn't want the darker brown or red-ish...

Hello all, I recently decided to take up woodworking. And as a first project, I wanted to do an ambrosia maple table. I had the table done by a local wood shop. I figured: If I can learn sanding and finishing it in this project, that would be a good start. I noticed, when I picked it up, that...

Quick newbie question: I'm trying to extend an existing table to include an additional 12" leaf. The pre-installed slides are 29" and stop to accommodate a single 12" leaf. 29" is big enough to accommodate two leaves, yes? If so, does anyone have any insight into how to modify/remove...

Well I finished the Hall Table for my wife. Not sure about the top - she may yet change it to quartz. The primary wood is clear pine stained with Minwax Jacobean and 2 coats of Varathane semigloss. The accent on the top is unstained hard maple.
