General Information
This is a John Bellamy style Eagle, influenced by woodcarver Rick Bütz with the US Navy Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist insignia in its talons.
I started this project over two years ago and life and other projects kept it on the back burner.
Now that all of us are under House Arrest, I finally had some time to put into it.
Laminated basswood power carved into the basic shape then hand carved the details.
As you can see, Bondo was also used in some places vs. common wood filler.
The military emblem is cast resin purchased off of E-Bay and it was gilded with 12k brilliant white gold (silver color leaf).
This project, with the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist insignia, is dedicated to all the
enlisted sailors that serve or have served on surface warships in the U.S. Navy.
