Started out thinking about a project to use a 4x8 sheet of oak I had bought for my dad. I inherited it back after 10 years; and his passing. Wanted to give it a part of something both useable, unique, and something I'd enjoy making in the process. Once I conceived of the piece; it was destined to be worthwhile. Hope you enjoy the workmanship. It is all my design. Went from paper to saw, almost immediately. It is all hardwoods; and the two bottom shelves are the oak plywood. The legs are poplar 1x4, which I cut, glued, and screwed together. The butcher block is birch. I put together a picture gallery of the process. If anyone wants the design; let me know. It was a lot of fun; for my first involved build.
