Quite the tool repair business. I've got a SL16WA SCMI slider that I bought new about '89. Been a great saw. Still runs true. Saw a Gomad tilt shaper in your photos. I've got a DFTA-6, Tilt, 1999. Great machine. A friend has a Gomad boring machine he wants to sell. Model # is WW23, 1989.

Warner, this guy is awesome when it comes to fixin' stuff out of metal. I've watched days worth of his videos on You Tube. I think you will find it interesting with all the old machines you have:

I'm new to this, can't figure out how to post yet, but you had the most intelligent answers regarding vfd's that I could find. Firm believer in soft start, get grumpy when yanked out of bed, imagine motors also. The new technology is allowing faster high amp draws. Do I need to stick with double amperage rating or will it be fine? Run my saw maximum of 15-20 minutes at a time, just stole a 3ph unisaw, was gonna go buck and boost, have always liked vfd's for industril/ac, but wonder if they can keep me at speed sawing up red oak for 15 min. or so without heating up? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Andy
