Woodworking Talk - Woodworkers Forum - Tony B's Album: Writing Tables - Picture
Picture 6 of 10 from Album Writing Tables
Photo 6. When making the front apron that will have the drawer cut-out, I slice the apron into 3 sections. I remove the center section and cut out the middle of it the size of the drawer opening. Then I re-glue the apron back together again. This keeps my grain lined up as it was originally and the joint becomes invisible.
Again, lots of hand scraping with a cabinet scraper. Can't wait to buy a planer.
