Hey there Kev I just wanted to drop a line about the csm that panther is offering on the forum here. I Have watched a number of vids on the topic and have a pretty good under standing of how csms work. I recently picked up a very burly fbe log that is way to big for my band mill (I'll try to get some pix up later on the forum) My question is how well does a csm work on something so irregular like a log full of burls? More specifically how do you think panthers mill will preform? I didn't know if this is something I should put onto the forum so i decided to ask you first if you think it is ok you can go ahead and put it there if you like.

Hello Kevin I go by dynamowhum on this forum. I just posted for the first time the other day. I mentioned on one thread that I was interested in buying a fellows 3/4 complete CNC rig that he had fabricated himself. He has all the parts and drawings to completed the machine and is willing to help me put it together. We one of this forums members wrote that you had a CNC and might be able to give advice on purchasing said machine. This machine is fabricated with extruded aluminum and cnced parts from what looks like 1/2" aluminum stock. l know some things about CNC but not how to build or even run one yet. I have an industrial background and can tell when something is mechanically sound. The said seller claims he has about $5000 invested and would let it go for $3000, claiming a similar setup would cost $15,000 when fully functioning. Anyway if you could give me some insight or advice I would appreciate it. If you can or can't have great day.

The belt sander uses 4 wide and 21.75 long belts
I know that the sander is at least 30 years old

No problem Dave. I have no idea what it was about. I have to clear out my PM's regularly there's a limit to how many we can have. This is the message center though, if you want to send a PM you got to click the link in the top left corner right under your name that says Private Messages. Thanks for reminding you forgot - I would have never remembered.
