selected woodworking projects
I've been doing woodworking for well over 50 years. The projects selected for this album are with one exception from the last 15 years.

Building a trestle style dining table
When our home was built in 2005 we had to take down half a dozen Douglas Fir trees. I couldn't let them go to waste so I had them milled into 8/4 slabs and air dried them for a number of years. Eventually I used some for cabinet doors, drawer fronts, tables and other projects but I always intended to use the bulk of it for a trestle style dining table. In 2015-16 I designed the table and got going. This series of photos shows the various steps along the way. I work slowly, and it took almost two years to complete the design and build the table.
