    Rick,
Just viewed the pictures you've posted today. Great work. Obviously you are someone to get information on finishing techniques. The Tahoe mansion is the show.

Hey Rick, I have a question regarding the smooth-on epoxy resin that you used in the past. I have a thread going and im wondering if you can take a look at it. Thanks for your time!

    Dear Rick

    You do excellent work.
I am furniture maker and trying to do wood graining on mdf.
I tried glue with water-based paint for wood, 1part-1part.
Grains where ok but in sanding i realised that glue pulled-up mdf and sanding let white marks on surface wich wasnt smooth also.
My 2nd try was with water-based patina over polyourethane 2 coats, but it was drying very quiqly.
My 3rd try was with glaze i 've made, over 2polyour base coats.
I bought a Wax of TOLLENS (water-based peinture decorative resins acrylics).
I mixed 1 part wax with 1/3 to 1/4 mat emulsion paint for (color) and some water.
Wood effect, working time, smoothness and adhesion (grip) was exellent.
The problem came 24 hours later, when i passed finishing polyourethane and finishing water-based (not acrylics) in two samples.
When finishing touched the glaze, it became weak and soft.
5 days now my nail can scratch the surface.
I would appreciate if you can help my.
    Thanks in front
    Kosmas
