I see a post from several years ago that you were building a wide drum sander using a treadmill motor and power lift. Any updates on how that worked or advice for someone that has one to try and use versus going the conventional route of using a regular AC motor? Did you build your drum out of ABS plastic or wood? Thank you for any advice you could provide!! John

I ran it about a month ago. It has just the slightes surface rut on in in a few spots because it got a drop or 2 of water on it but it would come out easy with steel wool. My adress is 115 clouser Rd mechanicsburg Pa 17055. Ive got plenty of scrap wood laying around you can test out on it if you want. Ive never has any problems with it. If you want i can send you an email with a video of it running before you come all the way to look at it.

I appreciate the additional information and would really be interested in planning a trip up to PA to see the time you ran the unit? unit and most likely purchase. Is there a way we can discuss the possibilities over the phone? My cell number is (304) 888-9362 and personal email is [email protected]. In the meantime I will try to find outr more about that model and the availability of parts. When was the last time it ran?
