Woodworking Talk - Woodworkers Forum - Duane Bledsoe's Album: My completed projects - Picture

It can't all just be about woodworking for me. I like to work with multiple materials. Here you see an electric socket adapted to fit a non-electric lantern and a candle stick and base made from none other than PLUMBING PARTS! The base part was cut down on a miter saw. I then used a random orbital sander to remove the lettering, seams, and glossy PVC surface, and also to shape the parts to look like a candle. The finished parts came out resembling plaster casted ceramics before being baked and I liked the look so well I decided no further finish was needed. After all, it's country!
