"Learning Curve Pen". I like that for a name for a first pen! My wife just recently started turning pens also. She's turned 3 and has started a fourth. Anyway this pen you made is very unique and actually I like it because it's different. I always like dthings that weren't the norm (guess because I'm not). Your second one is awesome too I really like the shape you came up with on it. Keep it up and welcome to the forum!

I love that wood...it is beautiful. My first pen and second turned out a little proud of the pen hardware also and I was very careful to turn all of the way down to the copper tube inside. I gave them as gifts...to family members. You would have thought I gave them a million dollars! LOL!

I plan on doing some for christmas presents this year.... my brother is really into planes and the war... I found some nice camoflough (excuse the spelling) blanks from Australia so I'm gonna make him a nice chunky cigar pen to show the colours off.
Lets hope he's as grateful as your family members!!
