Rit dye walnut stain for maple

Did a custom Rit Dye mix with black powder and brown liquid (cuz that's all they had at the grocery store). Applied with a heavy wash til the wood was soaked, wiped off with a rag. One coat of satin polyurethane so far before the photo's.
