Scaling adult chair plans to child size?

I built a few adirondack chairs las summer using the plans at:

They were very easy to make and came out great. I'd like to make a chair just like these, but scaled for my 3-year-old niece. Any suggestions on how to figure out the dimensions?

I'd just figure out a good scale, maybe 1/3 or 1/2 and multiply all dimensions by that. Half or quarter scale would obviously be easiest if you're working in standard versus metric measurements.
